Hair fall is one of the biggest concerns of most people in recent times. Starting from an unhealthy lifestyle to increased pollution, everything is to be blamed. While you can’t do much about external factors such as weather and pollution, we can obviously nourish our mane from the  inside-out to reduce hair fall and promote hair growth.

Here are six hair growth tips that will also help you stop hair fall with minimal effort:

1. Oiling and massaging your scalp

When your dadi and nani emphasised on oiling your scalp every now and then, they weren’t wrong. With our busy schedules, we all hardly oil our hair, which then depletes it of all nourishment and hydration. So, ladies do not forget to oil your hair at least once a week.

Moreover, while you are oiling, make sure you massage your scalp well, since this will help promote hair growth. A study published in the journal Eplasty found that the stimulation of the scalp can increase the thickness of your hair. So, take proper time to massage your scalp with oil and try to cover each strand.

2. Apply aloe vera regularly

Aloe vera is really a godsent ingredient, when it comes to hair and skin care. No matter what your problem is, it can solve anything and everything. An article published by the National Centre for Complementary and Integrative Health points that aloe vera treats hair loss like no other.

Aloe vera also has soothing properties that help in calming your scalp, along with hydrating your hair. It further prevents hair fall by unclogging hair follicles.

3. Use onion juice

It is just recently that onion juice has gained popularity, because of its miraculous benefits. So, if you are someone who doesn’t have any problem with onion or its smell, you might want to include it in your hair care routine. It is also believed that onion juice improves circulation and blood flow to the hair follicles.

In a recent study published in The Journal of Dermatology, it was found that onion juice successfully treated alopecia areata by promoting hair growth in that area.

4. Apply coconut milk

Coconut milk has natural protein and essential fats that promote hair growth and prevent hair loss at the same time. The natural fatty acids provide your damaged and dry hair with extreme nourishment and hydration. When properly nourished, your hair tends to grow more and fall less.

Take grated coconut in a pan and simmer it for a few minutes, apply this on your scalp and hair ,and wash it off after 20 minutes.
