Dr. Nivedita Dadu, a Renowned Dermatologist, spoke to HealthShots about this snazzy-looking skincare tool and who all can benefit from it.

“LED face masks work efficiently to treat a number of skincare issues. LED masks offer multiple favourable effects on the skin, including helping to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen production. They can prove effective in controlling acne breakouts and reducing sun damage.” says Dr Dadu, Founder and Chairman of Dr. Nivedita Dadu’s Dermatology Clinic.

Here are 4 LED mask benefits for your skin:

1. Rejuvenate and heal skin

They can offer brilliant results for skin rejuvenation and restoring radiance to the skin. “LED masks have many anti-aging benefits, but they can also help you improve skin texture and reduce scarring,” says Dr Dadu.

2. Treat skin allergies and conditions

It has become an intriguing tool as these luminescent masks can help you achieve a glowing complexion. These are effective against common skin concerns such as sun damage, inflammatory conditions, and wound healing. These masks can also speed up the recovery from rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

3. Anti-ageing

Dr Dadu says, “If somebody is not suffering from any specific skin complaint, they can still benefit from using it. LED masks are great to achieve an enviable skin texture by reducing signs of ageing and improving the skin’s general appearance.”

Red light helps in increasing blood circulation on the skin, it stimulates the cells to produce more collagen and gives a smooth and soft skin. It also helps to shrink large pores and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
