  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil to grease
  • 2 chopped chillies (for garnishing)

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 3 to 4 green chillies
  • 5 to 8 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

Steps to prepare sama dhokla

Step: 1 Wash sama rice under water until it runs clear. Set it aside to drain.

Step: 2 Transfer raw sabudana to a grinder.

Step: 3 Cover the blender and grind the sabudana until it reaches a fine powder-like consistency.

Step: 4 Combine powdered sabudana and sama rice in a bowl. Add enough water to soak the mixture. Set it aside in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Step: 5 After the desired cycle is over, blend the soaked mixture to make a smooth batter. The batter should be creamy, not grainy. If it’s grainy, blend until smooth. Add yoghurt, lemon juice, and salt. Mix to combine. The batter should have pouring consistency. If it’s thick, add water to adjust the consistency.

Step: 6 Grease a tray or thali.
