The winter season is a the perfect time to nosh on the greens as the season brings with it the fruits and vegetables that are nourishing. Celebrity nutritionist, Pooja Makhija, on her Instagram account, shared a perfect salad for winter. Calling it the ‘Green Goodness Salad”, she hailed it as “crunchy, munchy and yummy”.

Makhija even shared the recipe for the green goodness salad. It is super easy, quick, and yummy to include it in your diet plans or nosh on as a side meal.

Ingredients:

* ½ Cabbage
* 1 Cucumber
* 2-3 Spring onions

Method:

1. Julienne the vegetable; cabbage, cucumber, spring onion
2. Mix them together in a bowl
3. Then, make the dressing for the salad by blending together the following ingredients:

For the dressing, blend together:

* Spinach
* 8-10 almonds
* 4-5 Garlic
* 1 Onion
* 1 tbsp lemon juice
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
* 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
* salt and pepper as per taste
