Here’s how to roast nuts

Step 1

Take a pan with a flat base and heat it up. Spread the nuts evenly in the pan and don’t pile them on top of each other or they won’t roast properly. No need to add any oil as nuts have their own natural oil which comes to the surface when roasted.

Step 2

Once the pan is hot you need to roast the nuts for about 15 minutes on a low flame. For nuts such as peanuts, pistachios and walnuts, it will take only about 6-8 minutes to roast them but for almonds it can take up to 15 minutes.

Step 3

It is very important that you keep stirring the nuts every 30 seconds or so, otherwise they won’t roast evenly and their edges might even get burned.
