Good sex is always welcome, isn’t it ladies? Having fun between the sheets, trying out new positions, and being kinky sounds oh-so-perfect. But not everyone has such a happening sex life. Others do have to deal with bad sex. That doesn’t mean you don’t have a good relationship with your partner. What it really means is that it could in many ways end up destroying the relationship you have… or let’s tone it down to say that it may affect it adversely.

These are ‘real’ issues that women face, and it’s most likely you could experience these.

1. No desire for sex
It’s quite natural to get caught up in the humdrum of daily life and miss out on having sex, but if that happens all the time, it’s not the best thing. It’s quite possible that your partner has been giving you hints and you’ve been ignoring the signs. Well, it could be because you don’t enjoy sex as much or the sex is so bad that it doesn’t invite you! Whatever may be the case, speak with your partner!

2. Frustration builds up
“Of course, if the sex isn’t that great, it’s bound to affect several areas of your life outside the bedroom. You can experience frustration and tension, and bicker over the smallest of issues. Trust me, it just grows from here. Again, the best way to deal with this problem is to have an open chat with your partner,” says Shradha Singh, a Mumbai-based relationship coach.

3. Communication is minimal
It’s quite possible that your problems in the bedroom cause cracks in the way you communicate. You might find yourself spending less time with your partner, and avoiding them. If you think that’s you, stop and take action before it’s too late. You can also be open about your expectations, both inside and outside the bedroom, and let your partner communicate theirs with you.

Here’s how you can try to revive the spark in your sex life

1. Don’t stop having sex
“The easiest thing to do is to stop having sex, but don’t Bad sex doesn’t mean you need to stop. Keep trying, ask each other what you like, and try new things. Sometimes, monotony sets in and makes sex life drab,” says Singh.

2. Build intimacy
Of course, you will not get everything on a platter. You have to make conscious efforts for things to get better, so why not when it comes to sex? You can’t get complacent, and when you both believe that you can change things, it will happen. Try building an emotional connection outside the bedroom, and it might just reflect between the sheets.

3. Detail out what you want
We know it sounds absolutely awful to tell your partner what dissatisfies you during sex, but until you don’t tell them, how will they know? Change takes some time, so once you let them know, give them space to figure things out. Yes, they may be a little taken aback in the beginning, but we are sure they are going to make efforts to revive the spark in your sex life.

4. Be nice to them
“The little things always matter. Take them out to their favourite restaurant, or watch a fun movie with them. Make sure you find some common stuff to do together, and once that comfort develops again, you might just be roaring in the sheets,” concludes Singh.
