5 pre-wedding tips for a bridal glow on your D-day

1. Level up your liquid intake

“Stay hydrated!” You must have heard this a gazillion times because this is totally non-negotiable. The expert says, “Drink at least a minimum of 2-3 liters of water daily. Amidst your busy schedule, keep a water sipper or bottle handy all the time. You may also add some lemon water without sugar, coconut water, vegetables and fruits that have more water content.”

If you stay hydrated, it will help release toxins out of your body which will add glow to your skin, nails and hair. Did you know there is a right way to drink water?

2. Eat a rainbow diet

According to Kaul, you must eat a colourful plate of nutrition. One must not avoid carbohydrates. Keep away from simple carbohydrates and include complex carbohydrates in your diet such as whole grain wheat, ragi, oats, brown bread, etc. Have more salads, protein, and green vegetables in your diet. You may also include lentils such as rajma, chickpeas, etc. Lentils are a good source of protein and also have plenty of minerals. Incorporate more green leafy vegetables as they are packed with antioxidants. A rainbow diet can add a natural glow to brides-to-be.

3. Keep away from white foods

If possible, try to avoid white-coloured foods like maida, white flour, white rice and even sugar! One of the most important pre-wedding tips, this will help you in weight loss as well as reduce any feeling of bloating.

It is common to come across ‘fad diets’ for all the brides-to-be. These diets trick you into believing that saying no to food will bring you good. In reality, you limit your diet to nothing. Having an appropriate diet is all about eating clean, indulging in portion control, and finding that time for yourself to unwind. So, don’t rip yourself off any of the food pleasures, and try to make a conscious choice to eat healthily.

5. Move yourself a bit
