What is ozone therapy?

As the name suggests, as part of this therapy, medical-grade ozone (a mixture of oxygen and ozone) is introduced through intravenous methods inside the body. What this essentially does is boost your immunity, which in turn, helps to fight Covid-19.

“As per clinical trial conducted in mid-2020, ozone therapy showed a recovery rate of 77% within five days and by the eighth day, all the patients from the ozone group recovered. Ozone therapy has a greater impact in controlling the infection as the patient suffers from various conditions such as circulatory disorders leading to clotting or thrombosis, headaches, lung infection, body pain, and breathlessness situations. We have given ozone therapy to more than 700 patients in Mumbai and Pune,” shared Mili Shah, President, Ozone Forum of India, with a leading publication.

How does it help?

We all know how the after-effects of Covid-19 can wear you down. Some patients complain of health issues, even months after they’ve dealt with the infection. Weakness and fatigue are most commonly observed. With ozone therapy, these symptoms are tackled, so that you can regain strength and get relief.

As per medical experts, ozone therapy should be taken up to 10 sessions post-Covid. This helps patients to enhance their immunity, and at the same time, rebuild antioxidants in their bodies.

The benefits of ozone therapy

Not just Covid-19, it works well in treating ulcers, surgical wound infections, viral and bacterial infections, as well as skin conditions like eczema, infections, bedsores, ulcers, in cancer as supportive treatment.

The best part is that patients recover in as many as 5-8 days after the therapy has been conducted. It reduces recurrence of Covid-19 and relieves patients of the after-effects of the viral infection.
